Good Morning From Glastonbury

Just saw the boys off on another hard days cycling.....i,ve just finished painting my toe nails and reading "Hello"
This has to be my favourite site so far and i,m reluctant to move tbh
We,re on a farm and it is really gorgeous here
I, stopping in Street on the way to the Severn Bridge, there,s an outdoor pool i saw when i was driving through yesterday, it looked fab.
Another really hot day, I,m a bit pink after yesterday, i sat by the river in Taunton reading my book.
AND before i forget....I reverse parked the RV yesterday!!!
I was so proud of myself and was waiting for a round of applause!!
I had a very peaceful and reflective day at Buckfast Abbey on the way from Exeter, and i would say i,ve almost found myself.....
Graham....i love the picture of my car!!
Lynn.....i will be doing nothing with Sudocrem!!

Heading for Symonds Yat tonight, spare a thought for me driving over the bridge, im not a happy bridge driver at the best of times let alone in the RV!!

Much Love

Days 2 & 3

Now at the campsite near Street/Glastonbury after two hard days cycling. 75 miles yesterday and 85 today! Fab weather but lots of hills in Cornwall and Devon - making more progress now we're into Somerset. Great run over Dartmoor avoiding the wild ponies....makes up for the two hours trying to find our way out of Plymouth!
Just enjoyed another outdoor meal in the midge free South. Sharon has turned into "Mrs RV" and regularly gets waves from fellow "travelling people"!
All going to plan and looking forward to crossing the Severn Bridge tomorrow...keep those comments coming.....

Day One

Started the day with a hearty breakfast and set off to Lands End to begin the epic challenge.
Met another "End To Ender" who had just completed his John o Groats to Lands End challenge, had a picture taken by the famous sign and I filmed them as they cycled off....
Went for a cup of tea and wrote some post cards, enjoyed the view of the cliffs for a while and thought I should set off for the next stop
One dead RV!!!!
Lights had been left on....
Asked around for some jump leads and no luck so had to phone the RAC.....a very nice man attended and managed to get me going again...
I,m sorry to say in all the excitement, i forgot to get the rock!!
However it would seem that Claire has reset my challenge for the day and I,m happy to say.....mission accomplished!!
Not sure how I,ll fair with tomorrows task, we are going inland, I,m going to visit Buckfast Abbey, will a picture of me with a monk suffice?
Waiting for the cyclists to arrive, its been a hard day with lots of hills.
I,m sure David will update later how it went for them......I dont expect they had to call the RAC

Update: When is 55 miles actually 71? When you're in Cornwall!

One week to go!

No turning back now - cyclists and bikes are as ready as they'll ever be! We've got the "RV" and will shortly load up with enough equipment and supplies to go round the world twice. Many thanks to everyone who has given us their support so far - both with cash for The Meningitis Trust and supplies for the trip.

Check out fundraising progress here: http://www.justgiving.com/castlehillha

We'll be updating this blog on a daily basis so you can keep track of our adventures - on and off the road! Keep checking back and give us plenty of feedback!
